  The Mississippi Credit Union Association is the trade association for credit unions in Mississippi.  MCUA does not maintain any type of customer/member financial information and would never request personal information in an unsolicited phone call, email, text message or fax (a fraud technique known as "phishing").
  Most legitimate organizations, including government agencies, credit unions and other financial institutions, will not request personal information, such as social security number or account numbers, in an unsolicited phone call, email, etc.  If you receive a request of that nature, do not respond.  Contact the organization through an official phone number or website to verify the validity of the request first.

Report Internet Crime
The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).  IC3 accepts online Internet crime complaints from either the person who believes they were defrauded or from a third party to the complainant.  Visit the IC3 website at www.ic3.gov.
