Personal Finanance Initiative
Through CUNA’s Center for Personal Finance, CUNA has launched the Personal Finance Initiative (PFI), an online network for leaders of the credit union movement to share best practices and discuss financial education. The resources provide materials and expertise to teach smart money management and the credit union difference. In a variety of print and electronic formats, we give consumers the information they need to improve their skills in budgeting, saving, borrowing, buying, and investing.

NCUA Financial Literacy Resources
Mymoney.gov
Title V of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACT Act) established the Financial Literacy and Education Commission (Commission) with the purpose of improving the financial literacy and education of persons in the United States. The Commission established a website,
www.mymoney.gov and a toll-free telephone number (1-888-MYMONEY) to coordinate the presentation of educational materials from across the spectrum of federal agencies that deal with financial issues and markets.

National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB)
In 1972, recognizing the average age of credit union members was rising, the National Youth Involvement Board (NYIB) was created as a national system for the dissemination of information and resources regarding youth participation in the credit union movement. NYIB provides a credible link to youth marketing resources and ideas for the credit union movement, to youth education resources and ideas and encourage excitement for financial literacy and creates leadership opportunities for the credit union movement. BizKid$
Biz Kid$ has developed easy to download learning materials and tools that can be used to help young people get the most of the Biz Kid$ television show. The materials are available on
www.bizkids.com. Produced in high definition by the Emmy Award-winning creators of Bill Nye the Science Guy, Biz Kid$ is a fun, fast-paced series designed to entertain, engage, and elevate kids’ knowledge about money. Biz Kid$ started broadcasting in January of 2008 and is shown on PBS stations in Mississippi and nationwide. Every Biz Kid$ episode will begin and end with a narrator reminding viewers that:

NEFE HSFPP
The National Endowment for Financial Education High School Financial Planning Program (NEFE HSFPP) website,
http://hsfpp.nefe.org/home provides access to their award-winning, fully-developed financial literacy curriculum that credit unions can use to be a guest speaker in classrooms and/or provide to teachers in the their local schools. America's Credit Unions, along with the Cooperative Extension System partner with NEFE to teach and distribute the HSFPP curriculum.
Jump$tart Coalition for Financial Literacy
Jump$tart is a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. Jump$tart strives to prepare youth for life-long successful financial decision-making. Mississippi has a local chapter and credit unions are encouraged to get involved.
